- Courtesy of Jacob, here’s an expression sheet of Skullboy with a working mouth that he drew for his Skullboy cartoon pitch:
- Six Point Harness, the production house working with Jacob on the Skullboy cartoon pitch
- An illustration of the Lateral Dumbbell Raise, which I call the Jesus raise:
- BUY G-MAN! – from Chris on his site, your local comic store, or the various online options (if you buy it before end of 5/15/2013, you can enter to win prizes from me; learn more here).
- As it turns out, I DID help Chris out with that Tales from the Con strip.
- And here’s that Brad Guigar episode (and relevant links).
- The four of us appeared on the Acmecast podcast, episode #150, which you can hear here.
- We were also all at Acme Comics’ Free Comic Book Day celebration, and you can see photos here.
- Aw Yeah Comics
- “What about my bank?” stems from a series of drawings Smitty did at a Baltimore Comic-Con, some featuring The World’s Most Dangerous Man in the World, and this one, featuring a squid asking the important question (and you can see, on the other side of the paper, a drawing by Smitty of Chris’ suggestion for the voice of Skullboy: Destro):
- Hm, maybe Jack Kirby DID create Vodka Drunkenski/Soda Popinski, at least it seems that way from this never before seen original art from Punch-Out!! #114, his first appearance (as Vodka Drunkenski)*:
- Double Barrel & Kevin Cannon
- The column I wrote with Stephen Mayer where my theory of how comics readers/collectors/enthusiasts break down is here (apologies for the glitchy-ness of the thing…any suggestions on how to correct it, please let me know).
- “Stuff Said Theme” by Craig Chin (also on Soundcloud)
- Other music: “She is Staggering (instrumental)” by Polaris, “Suerte” by Shakira
* for anyone paying attention, no, Jack Kirby did not create Vodka Drunkenski/Soda Popinski and there was no Punch-Out!! comic…but come on, it’s not impossible to believe, is it?
I loved this episode! AND I look forward to it listening again! Nutty? Perhaps.
Not nutty at all! I listened to it more than once…then again, I kind of have to. But yes, listen again and again and tell everyone you know to listen, too! Thanks “Tee”.
